Acceptance of terms

By using 43 Folders ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

What the app is

43 Folders is a free productivity tool implementing the classic 43-folder tickler file system. It is provided as-is, for personal use, with no guarantee of uptime, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose.

No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that your data will never be lost, corrupted, or become inaccessible. You are responsible for keeping your own backups using the Export function.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the creator of 43 Folders shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of productivity, or missed tasks or deadlines, arising from your use of the app.

Your data and your responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content you store in the app, whether in your browser's local storage or in your own Google Drive. We do not review, moderate, or have access to this content.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the app for any unlawful purpose, or to attempt to interfere with, reverse engineer for malicious purposes, or disrupt the app's functioning for other users.

Third-party services

The Google Drive version of the app relies on Google's authentication and Drive APIs to store your data. Your use of those services is also subject to Google's own Terms of Service. We are not responsible for the availability or behavior of third-party services.

Changes to the app or these terms

The app may be updated, modified, or discontinued at any time without notice. These terms may also be updated; continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict of law principles.
