Day Folders 1 – 31
43 Folders is a classic paper-based productivity system: 31 day folders and 12 month folders — 43 in total. Assign recurring tasks to the right folder, and each day you only look at today's folder. Tasks that repeat monthly or yearly reset automatically when the day or month advances.
Click the Export button in the top bar. A JSON file named with today's date will be downloaded to your device. Keep this as a backup — it contains all your tasks and folder positions.
Triple-click the 43 Folders title in the top-left corner. A confirmation dialog will appear, followed by a file picker. Select a previously exported JSON file. This will replace your current data with the backup.
The day folders are shown in the main panel, but the month folders panel only appears in landscape mode. Rotate your screen sideways to see both day and month folders side by side. In portrait mode, tap any day folder to manage tasks within it.
All tasks are saved in your browser's local storage — on this device, in this browser only. Nothing is sent to any server, no account is needed, and no one else can see your data. If you clear your browser's site data, your tasks will be lost, so export a backup regularly.
To move your data to another device or browser, use Export on the old device and Import on the new one.
